This is a performance-based competition. You’ll have 90 to 120 seconds on stage to bring your character to life. It’s not just about the costume—it’s about presence, movement, and impact.
The judges are looking for confidence, character embodiment, and how well you command the stage.
How well does the cosplayer embody the character's personality, traits, and mannerisms?
How engaging and polished is the performance, including aspects like timing, movement, and interaction with props or other performers?
How effectively does the performance tell a story or convey a message, and how creative is the approach?
How well does the cosplayer connect with and engage the audience?

When in doubt, participants are encouraged to consult with the organizers during the costume approval process.
To maintain safety for all attendees:
All props will be inspected by security staff at check-in. If deemed unsafe:
Participants are advised to seek approval in advance for any ambiguous props.
This is a public and professional event, and all participants are expected to behave with courtesy and professionalism.
Costumes with limited visibility (e.g., full masks or mascot heads) should be navigated with caution and help
The goal is to ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for everyone while celebrating cosplay in harmony with the values of Sharjah and the UAE.
