Mamoru Yokota debuted as a character designer on Louie the Rune Soldier, and then drew original character designs for Magical Kanan and Angelium. He also worked as animation director animator on such anime as DNA², Death Note, NarutoShippuden and Gatchaman Crowds.

He also worked as animation director on One Piece Movie 15. In addition, he also served as both director and animation director for the opening animation forthe Blazblue: Continuum Shift II arcade game.
