Thabit is CCO/Co-founder of Samaka Studio, an Egyptian illustrator & animation filmmaker. A graduate of the High Cinema Institute in (2013), Thabit has during and since produced a couple of animated films some of which are “Gobaz” (2012), and “Farkha Wa Laken” as a Co-director (2013).

With his work, Thabit became a two-time winner of the Cairo International Animation Forum, in 2018, and an official selection at the Annecy film Festival in 2021.

Thabit co-founded Samaka Studio stemming from being an avid lover of visual culture heritage and uses it as inspiration for his authentic gaze.
