Razan Takash is an award-winning Jordanian producer and director with over 14 years of experience in the Middle East’s film and production industry, and 7 years teaching film and television in higher education. Her versatile body of work ranges from indie films and regional TV productions to major Hollywood projects, including Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

She holds an MFA in Directing from the Red Sea Institute for Cinematic Arts and has led numerous acclaimed projects. Her sci-fi short M1das screened at over 24 international festivals, winning 14 awards and becoming a finalist at the Burbank International Film Festival. Her film IDI earned her a nomination for Best Female Producer at the Toronto International Women Film Festival. In 2016, she won 1st place at the 48 Hour Film Project Dubai for Shah Mat and received a Mary Shelley Award nomination at the 2020 Other Worlds Austin Film Festival.

Most recently, she completed Karayr, a high-budget Arabic post-apocalyptic short, which she wrote and produced. She also runs the popular movie review channel Razz Reviews, and currently serves as Head of Film at SAE University College, mentoring the next generation of filmmakers.
