Donato Di Carlo is a director, animator, and post-producer with over a decade of experience in commercials and short films. He is the co-founder of Dadomani Studio, one of Italy’s leading stop-motion animation studios, recognized internationally for its creative excellence.
With a background in graphic design and editorial illustration, Donato began his career animating with clay at Yusaki Studio before expanding his skills through advanced animation training at the Milan Cinema School. He later served as an assistant instructor in the animation course at the European Institute of Design (IED) and spent ten years working in post-production.
A self-taught musician and passionate visual storyteller, Donato has led stop-motion animation workshops around the world, including in Brazil, Greece, and Madagascar. At SAC25, he brings his expertise and global perspective to share the charm, technique, and storytelling power of handcrafted animation.
